The health and safety of our Mommas and puppies are our highest priority. As such we whelp our litters indoors in a bedroom suite. We carefully monitor Momma for the signs she gives that she is going into labor and remain with her thru the entire process. We have a mutual bond with our Dams and they appreciate and are calmed by our presence. Puppies are born helpless and very dependent. We assist the mother in birthing and cleaning the puppies. The puppies are then weighed and individually marked. Someone is present with the puppies around the clock during the first 2 weeks, in case a puppy gets stepped on or laid on by the mom, and to make sure everyone gets enough nursing time. Our puppies have been intentionally, gently, and lovingly handled by us since they were born to support optimal mental and emotional development. We love them and treat them as if they were staying with us forever. We do early neurological stimulation and temperament assessment with each puppy so we can match the right puppies to the right homes. We introduce them to other animals as they are developmentally ready. We do not push them or force them into any situations that they are uncomfortable with, or where they might be fearful. Every puppy must go home with confidence to thrive in a new and unfamiliar environment. Our goal is to provide new owners with a happy, healthy, and social puppy! We encourage people to continue this socialization by exposing puppies to many types of people, environments, and other animals. We encourage people to take their puppy with them whenever possible. Continued socialization results in a confident puppy that is a pleasure to own!
We send our puppies home with an AKC folder to hold all of your important documents. You will receive a registration form, vaccination/ deworming record, litter certificate, first vet check, puppy checklist, info on the AKC good citizenship program, a lifetime of support, and more!!
